Traumatic Orthopedics Department, a key clinical department in Xuzhou City, is the earliest and strongest department established in Xuzhou Renci Hospital, which enjoys a high reputation in Huaihai Economic Zone for rescuing patients injured by accidents and treating complex fractures. Currently, there have been more than 60 beds available, 13 orthopedic doctors, among whom 3 are senior professional titles and 4 are intermediate professional titles and 2 are even national professional members.

In 2011, the internationally advanced Ilizarov Bone External Fixation Technology was first introduced into Huaihai Economic Zone to carry out limb open complex fractures and limb deformities orthopedic surgery.

In 2012, the department made cooperation with Beijing External Fixation Technology Institute to establish the  "Ilizarov Technical Treatment Center". At present, more than 10,000 patients with various complex limb fractures and more than 800 patients with various limb deformities have been treated, of which the first domestic bone lengthening operation with a bone trauma defect of 22cm was completed in 2011.

Traumatic Orthopedics Department mainly carries out the treatment of various complicated fractures including limbs, nonunion, bone defect, osteomyelitis, limb unequal length, "O" shaped leg, "X" shaped leg, various equinovarus, sequelae of infantile paralysis, sequelae of cerebral palsy, and limb bone and joint deformity diseases caused by various reasons.
